Women in Estate Planning
Women’s greater longevity has significant implications for tax planning, especially in the areas of estate, gift, and retirement planning. The fact that women, on average, outlive men means that they are more likely to be the surviving spouse, to inherit assets, and to be responsible for managing and distributing family wealth in later years. This demographic reality creates both challenges and opportunities that should be addressed through careful tax and estate planning.
